What factors determine your rental fees?

There are a number of factors that go into providing our clients with the best price possible.  If it seems that we ask a lot of questions, we do.  However, it's only because we want to provide you with a sound system that will best suit YOUR needs.  To request a quote, visit the Get a Quote section.  Below is a very brief list of factors that determine our rental fees. 

1.  Duration of Event - Our rates generally remain the same whether the event spans 1 hour or 4 hours.  However, if the event lasts more than 4 hours, rates will increase accordingly.

2.  Number of People Expected - The number of people expected, determines the size of the system required.  To get a better idea of which systems are appropriate for estimated crowd sizes, visit the Live Sound section.

3.  Outdoor/Indoor - Outdoor events generally require larger sound systems, and thus more power than indoor events.  Additionally, if an outdoor event spans over multiple days, overnight security is the responsibility of the buyer.  In these situations, we will also be required to break-down some equipment each night and set it back up the next morning.  This is done to protect it form the outdoor elements.  Indoor events typically do not require security or a break-down/set-up each night/morning, provided all doors are locked to the venue before leaving for the night.  Therefore, indoor events can help reduce the rental rate.

4.  City/State - As stated in the final FAQ, if the event is located within about a 60 mile radius from Baton Rouge, LA, rental fees are not affected.  For event locations beyond the 60 mile radius, click here.

5.  Special Equipment Requirements/Riders - As mentioned in the Live Sound section, we are usually able to provide specific equipment brands/models as long as we are given sufficient notice prior to the event.  Please feel free to contact us regarding specific items as soon as possible. 

6.  Lighting - It has been said that 85% of a live show is visual.  We agree in that people come to "listen" to a band, but they come to "see" a show.  We can help with both.  Our Included Lighting Package provides full fornt and rear stage coverage via LED technology as well as 4 intelligent moving yoke fixtures.  Also included is a dedicated lighting tehcnician.  We include our full lighting show in our initial quotes because the additional cost is far lower than you will find ANYWHERE else for an equivalent light show.  Plus, we feel it gives the show a whole other dimension by providing an added visual experience for the audience.  However, if your budget simply does not allow for it, we are able to reduce the lighting provided.

7.  Optional Side Fills - Some performers will specifically request "side fills" in order to attain a better stage mix, over and in conjuction with standard wedge monitors.  For an additional $150 per event/day, we offer (2) Yorkville LS800P Powered Subs and (2) Yorkville EF500P Bi-amped Powered Tops.
